"Dr. Nikeya Young was an awesome workshop presenter at the State of Black Learning Conference 2023 in Pittsburgh, PA. We were honored to have her share her expertise with conference attendees. Dr. Nikeya was a consummate professional who was also down to earth. Her presentation, "Get Yo Mind Right- Mental Health Coaching for Educators and Administrators," was so engaging! She intentionally had all attendees share and give feedback on questions she posed. She also had attendees work in small groups to discuss and scribe thoughts, needs, comments, etc. Dr. Nikeya encouraged all attendees to ensure they are routinely taking time to evaluate their mental health and/or what they need from administrators and colleagues to help them maintain their mental health. The visual aids that Dr. Nikeya used were also very helpful. I encourage all education professionals to book her workshop."
